Dan P. Shelledy, P.E., is Vice President, Business Development for NC12 and primarily responsible for identification of new gasification project opportunities and strategic partners, gasification technology development support, and management / procurement of fuel supplies such as biomass, coal, and waste products. Mr. Shelledy spent eight years with El Paso Energy as a Vice President in domestic and international project development and acquisitions where he led successful efforts in multi-million dollar coal and gas-fired power and pipeline projects. Prior to joining El Paso, Mr. Shelledy gained significant expertise in fuels having spent more than 18 years in the coal industry with companies such as Costain, BHP Billiton and Peabody. He gained both front line and management experience in engineering, operations, marketing and sales, spanning both US and overseas coal producing regions. Mr. Shelledy recently gained business development experience with Regulatory Compliance Partners who specialize in consulting services for the pipeline, refinery and chemical industries. He received his B.S. in Mining Engineering at the University of Missouri at Rolla and is a registered professional engineer.
